Monthly Makeup Favourites | October 2015

It's that time of the month again where I share my makeup favourites with you all! There are a lot of products I have mentioned before featuring in this most so I'm just going to briefly share my favourites with you! The products included in this post are basically the products I've been using this month on an everyday basis.

I have been loving my MAC Pro Palette lately, I've been creating so many different looks by using this palette nearly everyday. My favourite shades have got to be naked lunch, satin taupe and omega! I have also found a new mascara and I love it! It's the Loreal Paris Feline, its great at separating the lashes and really lengthening them as well! I am also still loving the Toyshop Magic Line as well, although I've been using black eye shadow to line my lashes.

I have also been using the Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit as well, I have been using this nearly everyday and I love how easy it is to contour with! To highlight I have been loving the Benefit Watts Up highlighter, this is probably my all time favourite highlighter!

Hope you enjoyed todays post! Let me know what you have been loving this month!

Current Addictions | Collab With My Little Blogging Oasis

This is a post on my current addictions there have been a few things beauty and non beauty that I have been loving lately. This is also a collab post with Aneesa from http://mylittlebloggingoasis.blogspot.co.uk.

I just can't get enough of my phone case from Iconemesis which has already featured in a previous post, I just love the design so much and its just so pretty. You can tell I have been loving blues lately just from the pictures above but I have been using these two Barry M Gelly High Shine in the shades Blueberry (top) and Sky Blue (bottom). I have always loved the Gelly range from Barry M but recently I have been reaching for these colours all the time! My last beauty related favourite has been a lip balm from La Roche-Posay, the lip balm is really moisturising and sorted my chapped lips out within a few days. The lip balm also leaves the lips feelings moisturised for hours which is great.

My last favourite which is none beauty related is Prison Break I started watching it a few weeks ago and I am already on the last season. The program is so intense and I always end up watching way more episodes at a time than I should but it is so gripping I don't want to stop watching it. I have been watching it on Netflix and can't wait to see how it ends!

Thank you for reading this post remember to check out Aneesa's post to find our her current addictions. http://mylittlebloggingoasis.blogspot.co.uk

The Spring Edit | My Makeup Bag

In spring I have always loved to use lighter products, to achieve a effortless look. All the products that are in my makeup bag this spring allow me to do that and its also a look that you can achieve in about 5-10 minutes.

For my base I have kept things pretty light and simple. I like to use The Body Shop Insta Blur for my primer which helps my makeup stay on all day and smooths my skin out before putting foundation on. For foundation I love using the Rimmel London Match Perfection as it is a pretty light coverage but gives a lovely dewy finish to the skin which is what I am wanting this spring. Then to cover those dark circles and imperfections I have been using MAC Prolongwear Concealer, this concealer is very high coverage so I just use a little bit wear I need it. Then to set that all into place I just all the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot power.

For highlight I have been using the Benefit Watts Up highlighter which is a champagne colour and it looks so pretty dusted on top of the cheeks. For blush I am still loving the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 05 Lovely Pink which is a shimmery pink shade which is lovely for spring.

Throughout the year I tend to keep my eye makeup pretty simple as I love the winged eyeliner look. Lately I have been using the Topshop Magic Liner and I have been loving it! Its so easy to use and is so pigmented and stays in place all day! For mascara I am still loving the Benefit Roller Lash, I love the curl it gives my lashes and it holds the curl so well! For my brows I am still loving the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade I just haven't found anything else as good as this!

Lastly for lips, of course as its spring I am going pink and glossy! I have been wearing the Kiko lipstick in 803 and the Maybelline Colour Elixir in the shade 705 Blush Essence both of these are lovely pink nudes which are my favourite for spring.

Hope you have enjoyed this post. Let me know what products you love for spring.

New Found Loves

So I have recently picked up a few new makeup items and I love all of these items so much!

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint
I was browsing around in boots and saw these new nail polishes from Barry M and I found it so hard to pick a few shades to try out as all of the shades were so pretty and right up my street! I decided to get the shades 'Pit Stop' which is a light grey colour it is very similar to Nails Inc 'Porchester Square', I also got the shades 'Eat My Dust' which is a lovely light blue shade which is great for spring/summer, the third shade I picked up was 'Lap of Honour' which is a pastel lilac which is also lovely for spring/summer. These polishes do need about 2/3 coats as they are very light but I am amazed with how quickly they dry. I think everyone is always up for a nice quick drying nail polish.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow
I have been hearing loads about Kiko lately so I finally decided to check it out. I pick up two of these cream eyeshadow pencils and I can know see what all the hype is about. I love how you can just quickly run these over you eyelid and blend out with a brush or finger and your done! I have two shades a lighter shade which is '07' this is a shimmery champagne colour which really helps to brighten up the eyes. The second shade I have is a dark brown with gold shimmer running through it. It looks really nice on its own or blended through the crease, the shade number for this is '04'.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush
I have had my eyes on these Max Factor blushers for a while now and I finally picked them up on one of my trips to boots. I have the shades '05 Lovely Pink' which is a light pink with gold shimmer running through it, these blushers are shimmery but not over the top I tend not to use a highlighter when using these. The second shade I have is '10 Nude Mauve' this shade is like a peachy/nude glow it looks lovely on the skin and adds a glow which would look lovely with a tan!

Hope you enjoyed todays post. Have you found any new items that you love? Let me know!

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit

After seeing so many people raving about this contour kit I just had to try it out for myself. I've been after the Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour kit but at the moment I just can't justify the price and I don't think I would use all the shades in the palette. So I have opted for this Barry M Contour Kit instead.

I normally find it hard to find that perfect contour shade, as being pale I find that contour shades are normally to orange. I was surprised when I tried this out it wasn't to orange for my skin. The contour kit includes 3 shades; the first shade is a highlight which you can use on the high points of your face so the tops of your cheek bones, centre of the forehead and the length of the nose. It adds a nice glow to the skin. The middle shade is a medium brown shade which you can use to bronze up the face or contour with it. On days when I want a light contour I tend to use this shade as my contour shade. The last shade is a dark brown which is the contour shade of the palette, you can use this shade to sculpt the cheek bones, to get that amazing contoured look.

The palette retails for £6.49 which I think is a great price for a contour palette. I would recommend this palette if you are thinking about getting the Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour Kit.
