Monthly Makeup Favourites | September 2015
This month I seem to have rediscovered loads of old favourites as I haven't really brought anything new this month. But I am going to start off talking about a new favourite of mine. I feel like I am the last blogger to try the Loreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation, I can now see why everyone was raving over this so much. For a drugstore foundation it has really good coverage and it actually stays matte. I have been using the an old favourite of mine which is the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder with it and these two products work great together! I do really want to try the primer that foes with the foundation as I love the foundation!
I have also rediscovered my love for my Chanel Powder blush in the shade Rose Initial, this is one of my favourite blushes I just hadn't used it in ages and started using it again a few weeks ago and I remembered how much I loved this blush! It's great for pale skin as it adds a touch of colour and a tiny bit of simmer.
Hope you all enjoyed today's post! What have you been loving this month? Let me know!

My Go Too Summer Makeup Look | Collab
I thought I would share my go to summer makeup in todays post. This is a collab with the lovely Dalal from monochromedaisies.blogspot.com so make sure you go and check out her post as well.
In the warmer months I am all about a lighter base so I tend to go with a BB cream I recently got the Dream Pure BB Cream from Maybelline and I have been loving it. It is matte which is great for summer as I don't want to look oily but it doesn't completely mattify the skin which I love! To brighten under my eyes I use the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer this is great because it helps to brighten those dark circles and stays put really well and doesn't crease. To set that all in place I just use the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot powder this helps my makeup to last a lot longer.
For my bronzer/blush I use the Maybelline Dream Sun which is a bronzer and blusher in one. I sometimes use them separately or I swirl my brush around the pan and use them mixed together as it leaves a lovely pink/bronze glow on the cheeks which looks great with a tan. To highlight I use the Benefit Highbeam which is a cream highlighter so it helps the skin to have a highlight without looking patching/powdery.
On my brows I still use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade I love this for my brows and I haven't found anything that is as good as this. I like to keep my eye makeup pretty neutral so I just use Naked Lunch all over the lid and Omega in the crease and outer corner to give the look a bit of depth. I then just apply a generous amount of mascara and I have been loving the Maybelline Lash Sensational it adds loads of volume and holds the curl of the lashes so well. It also doesn't smudge or flake off which is great!
Hope you enjoyed this post make sure you check out Dalal's post on her blog! monochromedaisies.blogspot.com.

Current Skin Care Favourites
To remove most of my makeup and tackle my eye makeup I will use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I use this with cotton pads and swipe over my eyes and face to remove my makeup. It doesn't leave an oily feeling on the skin like a lot of other makeup removers it is very gentle and great if you have sensitive skin. To cleanse my skin I use the La Roche Posay Physiological Cleansing Gel this is a new find of mine and I love it. It simply removes all my makeup and makes my skin feel fresh and clean. Its really good for sensitive skin as its nice and gentle on the skin but also removes any oils and makeup.
In my everyday skincare routine I don't use a mask or exfoliate everyday I do this about every three days. I love using the Origins Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask, this mask is good if you have acne prone skin it have really helped me to clear up my skins when I'm having trouble with my skin. I also love using the exfoliator called Modern Friction that is also from Origins, its a good gentle exfoliator which is also great for sensitive skin.
To moisturise I use The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Moisturiser, I love using this as it has an SPF in it which is great for summer and protecting my skin.
Hope you enjoyed this post today. Let me know what your skin care faves are I'm always up for trying new skincare products.

Drugstore Favourites | Collab With Life of Liv
I am finally sharing some of my favourite drugstore products with you. This is a collab with the lovely Liv from http://lifeeoflivv.blogspot.co.uk in her post she is sharing some of her favourite high end products so make sure you check out Liv's post as well!
I am going to start off by mentioning one of my favourite drugstore brands which is Soap and Glory they have so many amazing products and everyone is always raving about their products. I love the One Heck of a Blot powder which is a translucent mattifying powder. This powder is my holy grail it is literally the only powder I need, it makes everything stay in place all day! Also from Soap and Glory is the SuperCat eyeliner, I have used this eyeliner for months now and I am still loving it! It is so easy to use and so pigmented and stays in place all day and doesn't smudge all over the place like a lot of eyeliners tend to do.
I can't do a drugstore favourites post without mentioning the Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit, I have done a whole post raving about how good this contour kit is so I won't blabber on about it too much but it is the perfect contour kit if you are just starting out with makeup or are on a budget. It is so pigmented and blends beautifully! Everything you want in a contour kit right?
I also have to mention the Maybelline Colour Tattoos everyone seems to love this and I do too! These are such an affordable cream eye shadow which are insanely pigmented and so easy to blend and use. They come in loads of different colours as well so there is one for every look.
Lastly I need to mention my favourite lip product from the drugstore. I have always loved the Bourjois Colour Boost chubby sticks. They are so moisturising and have an amazing range of colours! My favourite shade has got to be '07 Proudly Naked' it is the perfect everyday pinky nude.
Make sure you remember to check out Liv's high end beauty favourites which will be up over on her blog! http://lifeeoflivv.blogspot.co.uk

Summer Essentials | Collab with That Girl in Wonderland
My first summer essential is The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Moisture Lotion I love this moisturiser for the summer as it has an SPF of 15 and it't really important to wear SPF on your face especially in summer. I love this moisturiser as it is really light weight and leaves my skin really smooth and hydrated. This moisturiser is especially good if you have sensitive skin as it have Aloe in it so its soothing. My second summer essential is also from The Body Shop and its their Honey Bronzer I have it in the shade 01. I have talked about this bronzer loads as it is one of my favourite all time bronzers. This bronzer is great if you have pale skin and are wanted that skin kissed look without looking to orange! I cannot get enough of this bronzer.
My next two summer essentials are both lip products. The first being MAC Costa Chic Lipstick I have always loved a coral lip in the summer and this lipstick has got to be my go to coral. It is a frost finish so it is more matte on the lips but I really like that look which this shade. This lipstick also stays on for ages which is great for those long summer days. My next go to lip option is the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire in the shade 201 Rose Symphony. This shade is a glossy pink/coral which is lovely for summer. I love wearing this with a tan!
My last summer essential is the Catrice All Round Up Waterproof Mascara. I love this mascara as it is water which is great for the summer but it also holds the curl and just makes my lashes look so long and full which is everything I want in a mascara.
Hope you have enjoyed this post. Remember its a collab so check out the lovely that girl in wonderland's post! http://thatgirlinwonderlandx.blogspot.co.uk

The Spring Edit | My Makeup Bag
In spring I have always loved to use lighter products, to achieve a effortless look. All the products that are in my makeup bag this spring allow me to do that and its also a look that you can achieve in about 5-10 minutes.

For my base I have kept things pretty light and simple. I like to use The Body Shop Insta Blur for my primer which helps my makeup stay on all day and smooths my skin out before putting foundation on. For foundation I love using the Rimmel London Match Perfection as it is a pretty light coverage but gives a lovely dewy finish to the skin which is what I am wanting this spring. Then to cover those dark circles and imperfections I have been using MAC Prolongwear Concealer, this concealer is very high coverage so I just use a little bit wear I need it. Then to set that all into place I just all the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot power.
For highlight I have been using the Benefit Watts Up highlighter which is a champagne colour and it looks so pretty dusted on top of the cheeks. For blush I am still loving the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 05 Lovely Pink which is a shimmery pink shade which is lovely for spring.
Throughout the year I tend to keep my eye makeup pretty simple as I love the winged eyeliner look. Lately I have been using the Topshop Magic Liner and I have been loving it! Its so easy to use and is so pigmented and stays in place all day! For mascara I am still loving the Benefit Roller Lash, I love the curl it gives my lashes and it holds the curl so well! For my brows I am still loving the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade I just haven't found anything else as good as this!
Lastly for lips, of course as its spring I am going pink and glossy! I have been wearing the Kiko lipstick in 803 and the Maybelline Colour Elixir in the shade 705 Blush Essence both of these are lovely pink nudes which are my favourite for spring.
Hope you have enjoyed this post. Let me know what products you love for spring.

Spring Pinks
I am going to start off with one of my favourite pink nudes which is the Kiko lipstick in 803, it is very sheer when you first put it one but with a couple of swipes you have a full colour. All though this is a sheer glossy lipstick it lasts on the lips for a good few hours which I love! Another favourite of mine is the Lorèal Color Riche in the shade 136 Flamingo, this is a lighter pink which has a lovely sheen to it. It looks gorgeous with really glow skin and a brown smokey eye thats what I tend to pair this lipstick with.
Moving on to another all time favourite of mine which is the NYX Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie, I have loved this lipgloss since I first got it. It has an amazing formula as it isn't to sticky but still manages to stay on the lips. Another favourite which also happens to be from Lorèal Paris is the Collect Privee in Julianne's Nude, this lipstick is probably one of my all time favourite peachy pinks. I find that it suits my skin tone swell as being able to wear it with any type of eye makeup. I love the formula of this as it just has a sheen to it and isn't glossy like the others mentioned.
Lastly I have to mention Toyshops Lipstick in the shade Tease, this is the lipstick I always reach for when I want a full on pink lip. I love this lipstick as its matte and is so pigmented. This looks lovely with a simple winged eyeliner.
Hope you enjoyed todays post!

New Found Loves
So I have recently picked up a few new makeup items and I love all of these items so much!
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint
I was browsing around in boots and saw these new nail polishes from Barry M and I found it so hard to pick a few shades to try out as all of the shades were so pretty and right up my street! I decided to get the shades 'Pit Stop' which is a light grey colour it is very similar to Nails Inc 'Porchester Square', I also got the shades 'Eat My Dust' which is a lovely light blue shade which is great for spring/summer, the third shade I picked up was 'Lap of Honour' which is a pastel lilac which is also lovely for spring/summer. These polishes do need about 2/3 coats as they are very light but I am amazed with how quickly they dry. I think everyone is always up for a nice quick drying nail polish.
Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow
I have been hearing loads about Kiko lately so I finally decided to check it out. I pick up two of these cream eyeshadow pencils and I can know see what all the hype is about. I love how you can just quickly run these over you eyelid and blend out with a brush or finger and your done! I have two shades a lighter shade which is '07' this is a shimmery champagne colour which really helps to brighten up the eyes. The second shade I have is a dark brown with gold shimmer running through it. It looks really nice on its own or blended through the crease, the shade number for this is '04'.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush
I have had my eyes on these Max Factor blushers for a while now and I finally picked them up on one of my trips to boots. I have the shades '05 Lovely Pink' which is a light pink with gold shimmer running through it, these blushers are shimmery but not over the top I tend not to use a highlighter when using these. The second shade I have is '10 Nude Mauve' this shade is like a peachy/nude glow it looks lovely on the skin and adds a glow which would look lovely with a tan!
Hope you enjoyed todays post. Have you found any new items that you love? Let me know!

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit
After seeing so many people raving about this contour kit I just had to try it out for myself. I've been after the Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour kit but at the moment I just can't justify the price and I don't think I would use all the shades in the palette. So I have opted for this Barry M Contour Kit instead.
I normally find it hard to find that perfect contour shade, as being pale I find that contour shades are normally to orange. I was surprised when I tried this out it wasn't to orange for my skin. The contour kit includes 3 shades; the first shade is a highlight which you can use on the high points of your face so the tops of your cheek bones, centre of the forehead and the length of the nose. It adds a nice glow to the skin. The middle shade is a medium brown shade which you can use to bronze up the face or contour with it. On days when I want a light contour I tend to use this shade as my contour shade. The last shade is a dark brown which is the contour shade of the palette, you can use this shade to sculpt the cheek bones, to get that amazing contoured look.
The palette retails for £6.49 which I think is a great price for a contour palette. I would recommend this palette if you are thinking about getting the Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour Kit.

Loréal Paris Color Riche Lipsticks
Don't you just love it when you find great lipsticks without an expensive price tag, look no further these lipsticks from Loréal Paris are amazing and I don't know why I hadn't tried them sooner. They retail at £6.99 each which is amazing! I have six shades from pinky nudes to a berry red. I have one matte shade which is 430 - Mon Jules and the rest of the shades I have are a more glossy finish but not super glossy.
The three lighter shades I got are 136 - Flamingo Elegance which is a pink/peach shade which is great for an everyday shade, 632 - Greige Amoureux is a lovely pinky/nude which little bits of glitter in it. It adds a lovely gleam to the lips. The last "pinky" shade I got is 431 - Fuchsia Déclaration this is a deeper pink which also have a few flecks of glitter in it.
The three darker shades I got are 703 - Oud Obsession which it a dark brown nude I don't really know when or how I am going to wear this but I thought it was an interesting shade to have in my collection. I don't really have many red lipsticks so I got one and it's in the shade 364 - 16 Place Vendrome I really like this red as it isn't a bright in your face red it is muted which I really like! Lastly I have the shade 430 - Mons Jules which is a matte berry shade, I think this is one of my favourite shades as I don't really have anything else like it!

Adding a Touch of Colour
Eyes
When doing my eye make-up I don't tend to go too crazy on the pink side of things but I do like the use the Maybelline Color Tattoo in 65 - Pink Gold. The colour tattoos are great for using as a base or on their own, they are also really quick and easy to use as you can apply with your fingers and also blend it out with your fingers. When wearing the colour tattoo I like to add a matte brown shade to the crease of my eye just to add some definition.
Cheeks
Adding a hint of pink blush can really brighten up your whole look without going over board on the pink. To add that hint of pink to my cheeks I have been using the Essence Blush-Up in the shade 20 - Pinky Flow. I love wearing this blush as you can use the lighter or darker pink or just swirl them together, this blush also has a little bit of simmer in it so you get a nice glow to your cheeks. The second blush I love to reach for when looking for something pink is Posie Tint from Benefit, I love using this as it adds a lovely pink tint to the cheeks and also makes the skin look really dewy.
Lips
I have been loving pink lips lately to brighten up my look. I haven't been going for a 'Barbie' pink I've been going for a softer pink, I think this looks so much better than that bubble gum pink colour. I have been using the NYX lipliner in the shade 839 - Dolly Pink paired with a lipstick from Mac in the shade Snob these go together so nicely.
When I'm wanting more of a gloss I have been reaching for my Tanya Burr Lipgloss in the shade Picnic In The Park, I love how glossy this is and these lip glosses smell amazing! The lipgloss I have found myself reaching for the most is from Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque in the shade 02 - Rosé on the rocks I think these are a new release from Bourjois. It is the perfect pinky colour to brighten your look up it adds that lovely glow to lips and also is really hydrating!

Nude Lips vs Dark Lips
Lately I have been loving a pink/brown nude or the total opposite a deep purple/red. I have been loving either a brown nude (just like Kylie Jenners) or a pinky nude which is usually my go to lip option, but I have also been loving that dark red/purple lip which I love wearing with the good old winged liner.
The brown nude that I have been loving is The Body Shop, Colour Crush in the shade 310. I really love this lipstick as you can wear it shear as well as building up the colour for that full Kylie Jenner look.
The second nude that I have been loving which is more of pinky nude which is my normal go to lip option. It is the Bourjois Shine Edition in the shade 26. This is a gorgeous glossy nude colour and I love the way it looks with a smokey eye or just a simple eye look.
Lastly the dark lip which I have been wearing a lot lately is a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade 477 Black Cherry. I know a lot of people that love this lipstick, and I am one of them! It is deferentially one of them bold lip shades which just make you feel 10x better about your make-up!
Well for me I am going to say that I am torn between dark lips and nude lips. I really can't decide a favourite! It depends on how I am feeling as to what lipstick I choose.
I really want to get some more bold/dark lipsticks so if you have any suggestions make sure you tell me in the comments!

Is Spring On It's Way?
Yes I know spring may be well on it's way but that doesn't mean I will be giving up my dark lips and nails and also my black winged liner.
I recently picked up this Illamasqua nail polish in the shade Vice, it's a lovely deep purple/red shade. It applies really nicely only needing two coats, it is semi matte it has a little bit of a shine to it but its not super shiny.
Another deep red product that I have been loving is this lipstick from Revlon in the shade Black Cherry, after seeing loads of people wearing this I just had to be brave and try it out. The finish on it is like a satin finish it has a little bit of shine but not too much, I wish this lipstick would stay on a bit longer than it does as I feel like I have to reapply it every half an hour. Overall its a lovely shade and formula it would be even better if it stayed on for longer!
I have also found another eyeliner which I love! It is the Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner from Maybelline although this doesn't stay on as long as my Soap And Glory Super Cat liner I really like the way this liner goes on, I love how fine the nib of the liner is so it makes the application really smooth and easy!
Hope you enjoyed this post!
