Holy Grail | My Perfect Base
I feel like I have tried so many different foundations since I first started wearing foundation (starting with that weird Maybelline Mousse foundation that everyone seemed to use at school, but lets move on from that) I feel like I'm always trying out different foundations so in this post I have included the base products in which I always go back to so these are my holy grail base products!
Starting with primer, one of my holy grails which I actually forgot to photograph is the Benefit Porefessional Primer I always end up going back to the Benefit primer, it is great for smoothing over the skin and of course filling in those pores! As well as the Porefessional I have also been loving the Mac Prep+Prime Skin Base Visage this is more of a new holy grail for me but I have been going back to this over my Benefit primer so it must be good? I love the primer from Mac as it evens out the redness in my skin and also adds a glow to my skin as it has flecks of shimmer in the primer, it is also great for helping my foundation stay on and making my foundation apply smoothly.
Finding the perfect foundation has always been something I've found hard to find, but I feel like I've found two foundations now which I will always want to have in my collection. The Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation, this foundation is very lightweight but offers a medium coverage but you can build it up to a fuller coverage which I really like. I like the way this foundation feels on my skin and the coverage it gives. Another foundation which I love is the Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation I sometimes get really dry skin and a lot of the time foundations tend to cling to the dry patches but the Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich Foundation does not do that which is great! This foundation is a medium coverage but can be built up to create a fuller coverage. It leaves a dewy finish which I have been liking over a matte finish at the moment. I find the foundation has a long wear out of it.
I have 2 concealers which I always go back to and they are the Mac Prolong Wear and Collection Lasting Perfection. I love the Mac Prolong Wear concealer as it is so full coverage and a little goes a long way with this concealer it is great for covering blemishes and dark circles although I find it creases under my eyes but I am yet to find a concealer which does do that! For a drugstore concealer the collection lasting perfection concealer has great coverage and I usually use it to coverage any blemishes and I also use it to go round my eyebrows to make them more defined.
To set everything in place my favourite powder of all time has got to be the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot powder. I have loved this powder for years and I can't even remember how many of these I have repurchased. It helps to set everything in place whilst also making the skin matte. I still use this when I want a dewy finish buy using a light hand and adding it in places where I am likely to get to much shine.
Woooah that turned out to be a really long post! You guys should let me know in the comments what your holy grail base products are as I'm always on the look out for new products to try! Hope you enjoyed this post and I am enjoying getting into blogging again! See you soon.

Favourite High End Eye Shadow Palettes
Today I thought I would share some of my most favourite high end eye shadow palettes, you guys should let me know if you would like me to do a drugstore version on this post! Starting off with the newest eye shadow palette which I recently picked up whilst in Barcelona is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, I have only had this for just under a month now but I can already say it has become a firm favourite of mine. The first thing I noticed about this palette was the smell, it smells so good you could eat it (although I'd recommend not doing that lol). The shadows in this palette are so creamy and blend beautifully. One of the main thing I love about this palette is that you can go for really natural looks or you can really build the shadows up and go for a really intense look. I use this palette so much whether it is just for my everyday makeup or nights out!
The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are some of my most loved palettes that I own! I still need to get the original one to add to my collect but I love the ones I have. I own Naked 2, Naked 3 and Naked Smokey. I always end up going back to my naked palettes, the colour payoff is amazing and they last ages on the eye without creasing and are just so pretty! If their is anyone who is starting out with makeup and wants to make a high end purchase I would recommend the naked palettes to everyone!
The last palette I'm going to mention in this post is The Balm's Nude Tude, as you can see I love a good neutral palette so this goes well with that. I love the shades in this palette and they are all so wearable and I am able to get use out of each shade. The shadows are really pigmented and so easy to blend!
Thank-you for reading this post, I hope you have enjoyed it! What are your favourite eye shadow palettes? Make sure you let me know. See you next time!

Monthly Favourites | June 2016
Hello guys! So I know it has been ages since I have uploaded a blogpost but I was really busy with college as it is my final year and that was my main focus. Since I have now finished college and have a long summer break before I start university I really want to get back into blogging! I thought the best post too do to get back into the swing of things would be a monthly favourites, so here is everything I have been loving throughout the month of June.
The first product that I have been loving are my new GHD straighteners, when choosing a new pair of straighteners I found this stunning limited edition pair. The model of straighteners is called the GHD V Marine Allure Styler. I have always had GHD straighteners and I find them the best ones too use as they always last for ages and keep my hair straight throughout the day. I also find that they are really easy to also use too curl my hair, I love the curls I get from using these!
I recently got some new make up brushes from Spectrum Collections and these are the prettiest brushes I have ever owned, they are also super soft as well! One thing I also love about this brand is that is completely vegan and cruelty free! My favourite brush I got has got too be the B01 which is the flat topped brush, I find this the best brush for foundation as you can get a smooth and even finish and really buff the product into the skin. The C03 brush which is the tapered blush is great for powder and setting your makeup. I would highly recommend these brushes as they are really affordable and great quality for the price!
The Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation is a new favourite of mine. I have never actually brought a high end foundation, but was finding that the drugstore ones I was using just weren't the right shade and didn't sit right on my skin. So I decided to try the Urban Decay one, this is now my new favourite foundation! It sits so nicely on my skin and it doesn't even look like I have foundation on and makes my skin looks flawless! Another face product which I have been loving is the Benefit Watts Up highlighter. I think I have mentioned this on my blog before buy I recently rediscovered it. I love the golden highlight this gives and adds just a touch of glow too my skin.
Hope you have enjoyed todays post, let me know what you have been loving throughout this month!

Monthly Makeup Favourites | August 2015
Hello again! Sorry for the lack of posts in the last week I was on holiday so I thought I'd take a little break from blogging so I could get back in the swing of things as soon as I got back. So I thought it's about time I shared my monthly makeup favourites with you all. I cannot believe that it is nearly September already which means back to college in a few days!:(
The Urban Decay Naked Smokey palette was released earlier this month and I have used it so much. Whether I am creating a day time or night time eye look. I feel like you can use the palette to create so many different types of smokey eye looks. Another palette I have been loving is this blush/bronze/highlight palette from Freedom I love this palette the colours are all amazing and so pigmented! I love using the light champagne colour to highlight!
I have also been loving Brave lipstick from Mac I have been reaching for it so much over this month. I think it might be one of my new favourite lipsticks. I also have been loving the Maybelline Fit Me powder its great for setting makeup and keeping that shine away but it also had a little bit more coverage as well.
What have your favourites been other the past month? Hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you next time!

Review | Urban Decay Naked Smokey
I know by now there are millions of posts about the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette but I just had to share my thoughts on this beautiful palette over here on my blog. I know this palette was released a couple of weeks ago but I wanted to be able to use it a few times before giving a full review on it. I am so happy to finally have the Naked Smoky Palette ever since I heard about it I have been waiting to get my hands on it!
Just like the other Naked Palettes this is also long and rectangular but the packing is different as it is plastic. Personally this is my favourite packaging of the Naked Palettes I just think it looks really slick and cool. The palette also comes with a brush just like the others but instead of having a flat end on the brush it has more of a tapered brush so you can blend the eye shadows out and get that smokey look. Unlike the other palettes the shades do not go light-dark they go light on both ends and meet dark shades in the middle.
The Smoky palette has 4 matte shades and the rest are glittery/shimmery. The one thing I love about this palette is that even though its a palette aimed towards Smoky looks you can create wearable smokey looks as well as really dramatic looks. The look I have been going for lately has been taking the shade High all over the lid and then using the shades Combust Whiskey in the crease.
I think out of all the Naked palette so far and that I own this one is my favourite. I know thats a bold statement to make but I just love this palette and the shadows blend beautifully and there isn't much of a fall out either which is great! I now just need to get the first Naked Palette then my collection with be complete!
Hope you have enjoyed todays post! Let me know what your favourite Naked palette is.

My Go To Nude Lipsticks
I thought I would share my go to nude lipsticks with you all as I am a lover of nude lipsticks especially those pinky nudes. Starting of with my favourite high end nude lipstick this is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in the shade 54 Boy, as this a Rouge Coco Shine the lipstick is very sheer but I love nudes that are sheer and glossy.
Moving onto drugstore lipsticks one of my all time favourite nude lipsticks is the Bourjois Paris Shine Edition lipstick in the shade 26 / Beige Démocrachic this lipstick is an amazing drugstore dupe for the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine that I mentioned the shades and finish of the lipstick is so similar they look nearly identical. My next favourite nude lipstick is from Milani and I know Milani is harder to find in the UK but I usually order Milani products from the website beautycrowd.com they have a really good selection of Milani products on their website. I am in love with the Milani lipstick in the shade 26 / Nude Crème this lipstick is more of a satin finish as it is a lot less glossy than the other two I have mentioned this is also more of a lighter pink nude than the other two.
Another one of my go to nude lipsticks is the Loréal Paris Collection Privee in the shade Julianne's Nude this lipstick is one of my all time favourite lipsticks and I always find myself going back to this lipstick. I love the formula of the lipstick and the shade is a lovely peachy pink nude I find that this lipstick looks really nice with a gold and brown smokey eye. My last go to nude lipstick is a new favourite of mine and it is the Kate Moss Lipstick in the shade 45, this is more of a darker nude than the others mentioned but this lipstick is a very close match to my natural lip colour so its one of those my lips but better lipsticks which I love on a simple makeup day. The lipstick is glossy but not too glossy it just leaves a nice sheen to the lips.
Hope you enjoyed todays post! Let me know what your favourite nude lipsticks are!

Monthly Makeup Favourites | July 2015
I think it's about time I share my monthly makeup favourites with you all, as I haven't done a post like this is a few months. I recently brought a few things from Maybelline and they have made their way into this monthly favourites, the first product is the Dream Pure BB Cream I love BB Creams and I haven't wanted to try this one for ages as it is tailored towards oily skin. I have combination skin so I found that this BB Cream was perfect for my skin! I love the way it looks on my skin and this BB Cream is perfect for that no makeup look. The second product I have been loving throughout July has been the Master Sculpt, the drugstore doesn't really offer many good contour products but I think we have a winner with this! I have the shade 01 / Light Medium which is the perfect contour shade for me it's not to orange or dark so I don't end up looking like I have orange stripes across my cheeks.
My next favourite is a nail polish from Rita Ora's Rimmel London collection. I picked up the shade 498 / Rain Rain Go Away which is very fitting as it has not stopped raining here for about 2 days. I love this shade, I seem to be likely purple/greys for my nails at the moment so this is right up my street. I applied to coats but you could probably get away with just one! The nail polish seems to last about 3/4 days on my nails which I think is great as the nail polish is only £2.99.
My last favourite for this month is the Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in the shade Bikini-Tini I love cream eyeshadows and I love champagne coloured eyeshadows as well so I finally got this one from Benefit after eyeing it up for ages! I love it, it just brightens up the eyes and as the name suggests it doesn't crease which is great as cream eyeshadows sometimes crease really easily!
Hope you enjoyed todays post, let me know what you have been loving this month!

The Perfect Minimal Makeup Look for Summer | Collab with GeorgiaMaexo
In the summer I am always going for a minimal makeup look as when it is hot I really cannot be bothered with a full face of heavy makeup. Todays post is a collab with the lovely Georgia from http://georgiamaexo.blogspot.co.uk so make sure you go over to her blog and check out her post as well.
For my base I love using The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream, the BB Cream first comes out white but has beads of colour with burst when you buff the cream into your skin. The BB cream also adapts to your skin tone to get that perfect colour and finish. I use the shade 00 which is the highest shade but as I become more tanned I will probably have to get the next shade up. To set that in place I use the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot. I use this powder through my t-zone just to get rid of any shine and to set my makeup in place.
To add a bit of colour and to bronze my skin I use a very natural blusher and bronzer. I love using The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in the shade 01 I use this is add some colour to by face and also to contour. I also use the cream blush from NYX in the shade Natural. I love using cream blushers as it helps the skin to look glowy and not powdery.
For my eyes I love going for a light champagne shade, I have been reaching for the Benefit Cream Shadow in the Shade Bikini-Tini. I love this cream shadow as it doesn't crease and it brightens up the eyes. On the eyes I will also use the Benefit They're Real Mascara which is one of my favourites. When wearing minimal makeup I will just use the Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Blonde on my brows to add more definition.
To finish the look off I love using a tinted lip balm like the Baby Lips. I like doing this as it is adding a tough of colour to my lips but also moisturising at the same time.
Make sure you check out Georgia's post on her minimal makeup. http://georgiamaexo.blogspot.co.uk

Current Skin Care Favourites
To remove most of my makeup and tackle my eye makeup I will use the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I use this with cotton pads and swipe over my eyes and face to remove my makeup. It doesn't leave an oily feeling on the skin like a lot of other makeup removers it is very gentle and great if you have sensitive skin. To cleanse my skin I use the La Roche Posay Physiological Cleansing Gel this is a new find of mine and I love it. It simply removes all my makeup and makes my skin feel fresh and clean. Its really good for sensitive skin as its nice and gentle on the skin but also removes any oils and makeup.
In my everyday skincare routine I don't use a mask or exfoliate everyday I do this about every three days. I love using the Origins Out Of Trouble 10 Minute Mask, this mask is good if you have acne prone skin it have really helped me to clear up my skins when I'm having trouble with my skin. I also love using the exfoliator called Modern Friction that is also from Origins, its a good gentle exfoliator which is also great for sensitive skin.
To moisturise I use The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Moisturiser, I love using this as it has an SPF in it which is great for summer and protecting my skin.
Hope you enjoyed this post today. Let me know what your skin care faves are I'm always up for trying new skincare products.

Current Addictions | Collab With My Little Blogging Oasis
This is a post on my current addictions there have been a few things beauty and non beauty that I have been loving lately. This is also a collab post with Aneesa from http://mylittlebloggingoasis.blogspot.co.uk.
I just can't get enough of my phone case from Iconemesis which has already featured in a previous post, I just love the design so much and its just so pretty. You can tell I have been loving blues lately just from the pictures above but I have been using these two Barry M Gelly High Shine in the shades Blueberry (top) and Sky Blue (bottom). I have always loved the Gelly range from Barry M but recently I have been reaching for these colours all the time! My last beauty related favourite has been a lip balm from La Roche-Posay, the lip balm is really moisturising and sorted my chapped lips out within a few days. The lip balm also leaves the lips feelings moisturised for hours which is great.
My last favourite which is none beauty related is Prison Break I started watching it a few weeks ago and I am already on the last season. The program is so intense and I always end up watching way more episodes at a time than I should but it is so gripping I don't want to stop watching it. I have been watching it on Netflix and can't wait to see how it ends!
Thank you for reading this post remember to check out Aneesa's post to find our her current addictions. http://mylittlebloggingoasis.blogspot.co.uk

Milani Cosmetics

I have wanted to try some products from Milani Cosmetics for a very long time, in the UK it is hard to find Milani products so I ordered these from Beauty Crowd. I was very happy to finally get my hands on some Milani products!
I got a Colour Statement Lipstick in the shade Nude Creme, it's a pinky nude which applies beautifuly and lasts ages once on the lips. The lipstick has a sheen to it but isn't at all glossy it is more of a satin finish. It looks lovely with a smokey brown eye and its a very everyday lipstick that is easy to pull off.
I also got a Rose Powder Blush in the shade Romantic Rose, these blushers are so pigmented you need to tiniest amount of product to get a good colour pay off. The texture is really smooth and buttery so the blusher applies very smoothly to the skin and last ages. I also picked up a Illuminating face powder in the shade Beauty's Touch, I use this to highlight the tops of my cheek bones it comes out as a pinky highlight once all the shades are swirled together. Both the blusher and illuminator are very pretty to look at and I almost don't want to use them and ruin their prettiness.

Drugstore Favourites | Collab With Life of Liv
I am finally sharing some of my favourite drugstore products with you. This is a collab with the lovely Liv from http://lifeeoflivv.blogspot.co.uk in her post she is sharing some of her favourite high end products so make sure you check out Liv's post as well!
I am going to start off by mentioning one of my favourite drugstore brands which is Soap and Glory they have so many amazing products and everyone is always raving about their products. I love the One Heck of a Blot powder which is a translucent mattifying powder. This powder is my holy grail it is literally the only powder I need, it makes everything stay in place all day! Also from Soap and Glory is the SuperCat eyeliner, I have used this eyeliner for months now and I am still loving it! It is so easy to use and so pigmented and stays in place all day and doesn't smudge all over the place like a lot of eyeliners tend to do.
I can't do a drugstore favourites post without mentioning the Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit, I have done a whole post raving about how good this contour kit is so I won't blabber on about it too much but it is the perfect contour kit if you are just starting out with makeup or are on a budget. It is so pigmented and blends beautifully! Everything you want in a contour kit right?
I also have to mention the Maybelline Colour Tattoos everyone seems to love this and I do too! These are such an affordable cream eye shadow which are insanely pigmented and so easy to blend and use. They come in loads of different colours as well so there is one for every look.
Lastly I need to mention my favourite lip product from the drugstore. I have always loved the Bourjois Colour Boost chubby sticks. They are so moisturising and have an amazing range of colours! My favourite shade has got to be '07 Proudly Naked' it is the perfect everyday pinky nude.
Make sure you remember to check out Liv's high end beauty favourites which will be up over on her blog! http://lifeeoflivv.blogspot.co.uk

Summer Essentials | Collab with That Girl in Wonderland
My first summer essential is The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Moisture Lotion I love this moisturiser for the summer as it has an SPF of 15 and it't really important to wear SPF on your face especially in summer. I love this moisturiser as it is really light weight and leaves my skin really smooth and hydrated. This moisturiser is especially good if you have sensitive skin as it have Aloe in it so its soothing. My second summer essential is also from The Body Shop and its their Honey Bronzer I have it in the shade 01. I have talked about this bronzer loads as it is one of my favourite all time bronzers. This bronzer is great if you have pale skin and are wanted that skin kissed look without looking to orange! I cannot get enough of this bronzer.
My next two summer essentials are both lip products. The first being MAC Costa Chic Lipstick I have always loved a coral lip in the summer and this lipstick has got to be my go to coral. It is a frost finish so it is more matte on the lips but I really like that look which this shade. This lipstick also stays on for ages which is great for those long summer days. My next go to lip option is the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire in the shade 201 Rose Symphony. This shade is a glossy pink/coral which is lovely for summer. I love wearing this with a tan!
My last summer essential is the Catrice All Round Up Waterproof Mascara. I love this mascara as it is water which is great for the summer but it also holds the curl and just makes my lashes look so long and full which is everything I want in a mascara.
Hope you have enjoyed this post. Remember its a collab so check out the lovely that girl in wonderland's post! http://thatgirlinwonderlandx.blogspot.co.uk

Spring Pinks
I am going to start off with one of my favourite pink nudes which is the Kiko lipstick in 803, it is very sheer when you first put it one but with a couple of swipes you have a full colour. All though this is a sheer glossy lipstick it lasts on the lips for a good few hours which I love! Another favourite of mine is the Lorèal Color Riche in the shade 136 Flamingo, this is a lighter pink which has a lovely sheen to it. It looks gorgeous with really glow skin and a brown smokey eye thats what I tend to pair this lipstick with.
Moving on to another all time favourite of mine which is the NYX Butter Gloss in Vanilla Cream Pie, I have loved this lipgloss since I first got it. It has an amazing formula as it isn't to sticky but still manages to stay on the lips. Another favourite which also happens to be from Lorèal Paris is the Collect Privee in Julianne's Nude, this lipstick is probably one of my all time favourite peachy pinks. I find that it suits my skin tone swell as being able to wear it with any type of eye makeup. I love the formula of this as it just has a sheen to it and isn't glossy like the others mentioned.
Lastly I have to mention Toyshops Lipstick in the shade Tease, this is the lipstick I always reach for when I want a full on pink lip. I love this lipstick as its matte and is so pigmented. This looks lovely with a simple winged eyeliner.
Hope you enjoyed todays post!

New Found Loves
So I have recently picked up a few new makeup items and I love all of these items so much!
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint
I was browsing around in boots and saw these new nail polishes from Barry M and I found it so hard to pick a few shades to try out as all of the shades were so pretty and right up my street! I decided to get the shades 'Pit Stop' which is a light grey colour it is very similar to Nails Inc 'Porchester Square', I also got the shades 'Eat My Dust' which is a lovely light blue shade which is great for spring/summer, the third shade I picked up was 'Lap of Honour' which is a pastel lilac which is also lovely for spring/summer. These polishes do need about 2/3 coats as they are very light but I am amazed with how quickly they dry. I think everyone is always up for a nice quick drying nail polish.
Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow
I have been hearing loads about Kiko lately so I finally decided to check it out. I pick up two of these cream eyeshadow pencils and I can know see what all the hype is about. I love how you can just quickly run these over you eyelid and blend out with a brush or finger and your done! I have two shades a lighter shade which is '07' this is a shimmery champagne colour which really helps to brighten up the eyes. The second shade I have is a dark brown with gold shimmer running through it. It looks really nice on its own or blended through the crease, the shade number for this is '04'.
Max Factor Creme Puff Blush
I have had my eyes on these Max Factor blushers for a while now and I finally picked them up on one of my trips to boots. I have the shades '05 Lovely Pink' which is a light pink with gold shimmer running through it, these blushers are shimmery but not over the top I tend not to use a highlighter when using these. The second shade I have is '10 Nude Mauve' this shade is like a peachy/nude glow it looks lovely on the skin and adds a glow which would look lovely with a tan!
Hope you enjoyed todays post. Have you found any new items that you love? Let me know!
