Smash box Shape Matters Palette | Review

So I recently got the Smashbox Shape Master Palette and I have got to say I think this is one of my favourite palettes that I own. I was lucky enough to get this when it was half price on an introductory offer at Boots. I couldn't pass up on the deal.
The palette includes 2 brow powders and a brow wax, I tend to use the light brow powder as it matches my brows better. I love the combination of the wax and powder as it helps the powder to stay in place all day!

The palette also includes a contour, bronzer, highlighter and glow powders. I love the shades of the contour and bronzer as they match my skin tone so well as they are pretty light. The texture of all four of these powders are so buttery and smooth I love the way they apply to the skin and blend beautifully. I am involve with the powder which is labeled 'glow' the picture doesn't pick up how beautiful it is but its such a nice champagne coloured highlighter.

The palette also has nine eyeshadows which are all so pretty. I love this palette because you can do so many different looks with it! The shadows are so pigmented and so easy to blend and when I used it I didn't really get much fall out either. A double ended brush also came in the palette and its so good for blending out eyeshadow.

Thanks for reading todays post! See you in my next one..

Monthly Makeup Favourites | September 2015

This month I seem to have rediscovered loads of old favourites as I haven't really brought anything new this month. But I am going to start off talking about a new favourite of mine. I feel like I am the last blogger to try the Loreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation, I can now see why everyone was raving over this so much. For a drugstore foundation it has really good coverage and it actually stays matte. I have been using the an old favourite of mine which is the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder with it and these two products work great together! I do really want to try the primer that foes with the foundation as I love the foundation!

I have also rediscovered my love for my Chanel Powder blush in the shade Rose Initial, this is one of my favourite blushes I just hadn't used it in ages and started using it again a few weeks ago and I remembered how much I loved this blush! It's great for pale skin as it adds a touch of colour and a tiny bit of simmer.

Hope you all enjoyed today's post! What have you been loving this month? Let me know!

Monthly Makeup Favourites | July 2015

I think it's about time I share my monthly makeup favourites with you all, as I haven't done a post like this is a few months. I recently brought a few things from Maybelline and they have made their way into this monthly favourites, the first product is the Dream Pure BB Cream I love BB Creams and I haven't wanted to try this one for ages as it is tailored towards oily skin. I have combination skin so I found that this BB Cream was perfect for my skin! I love the way it looks on my skin and this BB Cream is perfect for that no makeup look. The second product I have been loving throughout July has been the Master Sculpt, the drugstore doesn't really offer many good contour products but I think we have a winner with this! I have the shade 01 / Light Medium which is the perfect contour shade for me it's not to orange or dark so I don't end up looking like I have orange stripes across my cheeks.

My next favourite is a nail polish from Rita Ora's Rimmel London collection. I picked up the shade 498 / Rain Rain Go Away which is very fitting as it has not stopped raining here for about 2 days. I love this shade, I seem to be likely purple/greys for my nails at the moment so this is right up my street. I applied to coats but you could probably get away with just one! The nail polish seems to last about 3/4 days on my nails which I think is great as the nail polish is only £2.99.

My last favourite for this month is the Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in the shade Bikini-Tini I love cream eyeshadows and I love champagne coloured eyeshadows as well so I finally got this one from Benefit after eyeing it up for ages! I love it, it just brightens up the eyes and as the name suggests it doesn't crease which is great as cream eyeshadows sometimes crease really easily!

Hope you enjoyed todays post, let me know what you have been loving this month!

Milani Cosmetics

I have wanted to try some products from Milani Cosmetics for a very long time, in the UK it is hard to find Milani products so I ordered these from Beauty Crowd. I was very happy to finally get my hands on some Milani products!

I got a Colour Statement Lipstick in the shade Nude Creme, it's a pinky nude which applies beautifuly and lasts ages once on the lips. The lipstick has a sheen to it but isn't at all glossy it is more of a satin finish. It looks lovely with a smokey brown eye and its a very everyday lipstick that is easy to pull off.

I also got a  Rose Powder Blush in the shade Romantic Rose, these blushers are so pigmented you need to tiniest amount of product to get a good colour pay off. The texture is really smooth and buttery so the blusher applies very smoothly to the skin and last ages. I also picked up a Illuminating face powder in the shade Beauty's Touch, I use this to highlight the tops of my cheek bones it comes out as a pinky highlight once all the shades are swirled together. Both the blusher and illuminator are very pretty to look at and I almost don't want to use them and ruin their prettiness.

Drugstore Favourites | Collab With Life of Liv

I am finally sharing some of my favourite drugstore products with you. This is a collab with the lovely Liv from http://lifeeoflivv.blogspot.co.uk in her post she is sharing some of her favourite high end products so make sure you check out Liv's post as well!

I am going to start off by mentioning one of my favourite drugstore brands which is Soap and Glory they have so many amazing products and everyone is always raving about their products. I love the One Heck of a Blot powder which is a translucent mattifying powder. This powder is my holy grail it is literally the only powder I need, it makes everything stay in place all day! Also from Soap and Glory is the SuperCat eyeliner, I have used this eyeliner for months now and I am still loving it! It is so easy to use and so pigmented and stays in place all day and doesn't smudge all over the place like a lot of eyeliners tend to do.

I can't do a drugstore favourites post without mentioning the Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit, I have done a whole post raving about how good this contour kit is so I won't blabber on about it too much but it is the perfect contour kit if you are just starting out with makeup or are on a budget. It is so pigmented and blends beautifully! Everything you want in a contour kit right?

I also have to mention the Maybelline Colour Tattoos everyone seems to love this and I do too! These are such an affordable cream eye shadow which are insanely pigmented and so easy to blend and use. They come in loads of different colours as well so there is one for every look.

Lastly I need to mention my favourite lip product from the drugstore. I have always loved the Bourjois Colour Boost chubby sticks. They are so moisturising and have an amazing range of colours! My favourite shade has got to be '07 Proudly Naked' it is the perfect everyday pinky nude.

Make sure you remember to check out Liv's high end beauty favourites which will be up over on her blog! http://lifeeoflivv.blogspot.co.uk

Summer Essentials | Collab with That Girl in Wonderland

As we are nearing towards summer now I thought I would share some of my summer essentials with you all. This is a collab with the lovely http://thatgirlinwonderlandx.blogspot.co.uk so make sure you check her post out as well!

My first summer essential is The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Moisture Lotion I love this moisturiser for the summer as it has an SPF of 15 and it't really important to wear SPF on your face especially in summer. I love this moisturiser as it is really light weight and leaves my skin really smooth and hydrated. This moisturiser is especially good if you have sensitive skin as it have Aloe in it so its soothing. My second summer essential is also from The Body Shop and its their Honey Bronzer I have it in the shade 01. I have talked about this bronzer loads as it is one of my favourite all time bronzers. This bronzer is great if you have pale skin and are wanted that skin kissed look without looking to orange! I cannot get enough of this bronzer.

My next two summer essentials are both lip products. The first being MAC Costa Chic Lipstick I have always loved a coral lip in the summer and this lipstick has got to be my go to coral. It is a frost finish so it is more matte on the lips but I really like that look which this shade. This lipstick also stays on for ages which is great for those long summer days. My next go to lip option is the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire in the shade 201 Rose Symphony. This shade is a glossy pink/coral which is lovely for summer. I love wearing this with a tan!

My last summer essential is the Catrice All Round Up Waterproof Mascara. I love this mascara as it is water which is great for the summer but it also holds the curl and just makes my lashes look so long and full which is everything I want in a mascara.

Hope you have enjoyed this post. Remember its a collab so check out the lovely that girl in wonderland's post! http://thatgirlinwonderlandx.blogspot.co.uk

New Found Loves

So I have recently picked up a few new makeup items and I love all of these items so much!

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint
I was browsing around in boots and saw these new nail polishes from Barry M and I found it so hard to pick a few shades to try out as all of the shades were so pretty and right up my street! I decided to get the shades 'Pit Stop' which is a light grey colour it is very similar to Nails Inc 'Porchester Square', I also got the shades 'Eat My Dust' which is a lovely light blue shade which is great for spring/summer, the third shade I picked up was 'Lap of Honour' which is a pastel lilac which is also lovely for spring/summer. These polishes do need about 2/3 coats as they are very light but I am amazed with how quickly they dry. I think everyone is always up for a nice quick drying nail polish.

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow
I have been hearing loads about Kiko lately so I finally decided to check it out. I pick up two of these cream eyeshadow pencils and I can know see what all the hype is about. I love how you can just quickly run these over you eyelid and blend out with a brush or finger and your done! I have two shades a lighter shade which is '07' this is a shimmery champagne colour which really helps to brighten up the eyes. The second shade I have is a dark brown with gold shimmer running through it. It looks really nice on its own or blended through the crease, the shade number for this is '04'.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush
I have had my eyes on these Max Factor blushers for a while now and I finally picked them up on one of my trips to boots. I have the shades '05 Lovely Pink' which is a light pink with gold shimmer running through it, these blushers are shimmery but not over the top I tend not to use a highlighter when using these. The second shade I have is '10 Nude Mauve' this shade is like a peachy/nude glow it looks lovely on the skin and adds a glow which would look lovely with a tan!

Hope you enjoyed todays post. Have you found any new items that you love? Let me know!

Barry M Flawless Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit

After seeing so many people raving about this contour kit I just had to try it out for myself. I've been after the Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour kit but at the moment I just can't justify the price and I don't think I would use all the shades in the palette. So I have opted for this Barry M Contour Kit instead.

I normally find it hard to find that perfect contour shade, as being pale I find that contour shades are normally to orange. I was surprised when I tried this out it wasn't to orange for my skin. The contour kit includes 3 shades; the first shade is a highlight which you can use on the high points of your face so the tops of your cheek bones, centre of the forehead and the length of the nose. It adds a nice glow to the skin. The middle shade is a medium brown shade which you can use to bronze up the face or contour with it. On days when I want a light contour I tend to use this shade as my contour shade. The last shade is a dark brown which is the contour shade of the palette, you can use this shade to sculpt the cheek bones, to get that amazing contoured look.

The palette retails for £6.49 which I think is a great price for a contour palette. I would recommend this palette if you are thinking about getting the Anastasia Beverly Hill Contour Kit.

Loréal Paris Color Riche Lipsticks

Don't you just love it when you find great lipsticks without an expensive price tag, look no further these lipsticks from Loréal Paris are amazing and I don't know why I hadn't tried them sooner. They retail at £6.99 each which is amazing! I have six shades from pinky nudes to a berry red. I have one matte shade which is 430 - Mon Jules and the rest of the shades I have are a more glossy finish but not super glossy.

The three lighter shades I got are 136 - Flamingo Elegance which is a pink/peach shade which is great for an everyday shade, 632 - Greige Amoureux is a lovely pinky/nude which little bits of glitter in it. It adds a lovely gleam to the lips. The last "pinky" shade I got is 431 - Fuchsia Déclaration this is a deeper pink which also have a few flecks of glitter in it.

The three darker shades I got are 703 - Oud Obsession which it a dark brown nude I don't really know when or how I am going to wear this but I thought it was an interesting shade to have in my collection. I don't really have many red lipsticks so I got one and it's in the shade 364 - 16 Place Vendrome I really like this red as it isn't a bright in your face red it is muted which I really like! Lastly I have the shade 430 - Mons Jules which is a matte berry shade, I think this is one of my favourite shades as I don't really have anything else like it!

Adding a Touch of Colour

I know adding colour to your make-up can seem scary sometimes but I think by adding a touch pink it can brighten the whole look up, as we are coming into spring I love adding a little more colour to my make-up.

Eyes
When doing my eye make-up I don't tend to go too crazy on the pink side of things but I do like the use the Maybelline Color Tattoo in 65 - Pink Gold. The colour tattoos are great for using as a base or on their own, they are also really quick and easy to use as you can apply with your fingers and also blend it out with your fingers. When wearing the colour tattoo I like to add a matte brown shade to the crease of my eye just to add some definition.

Cheeks
Adding a hint of pink blush can really brighten up your whole look without going over board on the pink. To add that hint of pink to my cheeks I have been using the Essence Blush-Up in the shade 20 - Pinky Flow. I love wearing this blush as you can use the lighter or darker pink or just swirl them together, this blush also has a little bit of simmer in it so you get a nice glow to your cheeks. The second blush I love to reach for when looking for something pink is Posie Tint from Benefit, I love using this as it adds a lovely pink tint to the cheeks and also makes the skin look really dewy.

Lips
I have been loving pink lips lately to brighten up my look. I haven't been going for a 'Barbie' pink I've been going for a softer pink, I think this looks so much better than that bubble gum pink colour. I have been using the NYX lipliner in the shade 839 - Dolly Pink paired with a lipstick from Mac in the shade Snob these go together so nicely.
When I'm wanting more of a gloss I have been reaching for my Tanya Burr Lipgloss in the shade Picnic In The Park, I love how glossy this is and these lip glosses smell amazing! The lipgloss I have found myself reaching for the most is from Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque in the shade 02 - Rosé on the rocks I think these are a new release from Bourjois. It is the perfect pinky colour to brighten your look up it adds that lovely glow to lips and also is really hydrating!

Monthly Make-up Favourites

Here's a round up of all the products I have been loving through out the month of March. My day-to-day make-up look doesn't really change that often but I have added a few new products into my daily routine.

Kiko Long Lasting Eyeshadow
On an everyday basis I usually just go with winged eyeliner but lately I have been wearing this cream eyeshadow from Kiko. It is in a stick so it is really easy to apply and then quickly blend out with fingers or a brush. It lasts all day as well without creasing. I have been using the shade 07 which is a champagne colour which is perfect for everyday looks and brightening up the eyes. I really want to try more of these in different colours.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade
I am still loving the Dip Brow Pomade from Anastasia, it is perfect for making brows look fuller. I use it in the shade blonde which is the perfect shade for me. I normally can't find a eyebrow product that is the right shade, but I have finally found one.

The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream
I have been going for a lighter coverage lately so I have been reaching for this BB Cream I have it in the shade 00 which is the lightest shade they do.This BB cream is really good when you don't want a lot of coverage, I do tend to build up a little bit more coverage by using concealer where I need to.

Benefit Roller Lash
Benefit's Roller Lash was released earlier this month and I have been loving it ever since I got it. It curls lashes whilst also holding the curl. I love the way it makes my lashes look, I think it has to be one of my new favourite mascaras.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer will always be one of my favourite concealers I always find myself going back to it. I had be out of it for months as I couldn't find my shade and I kept forgetting to pick one up. I'm glad to have this concealer back in my collection.

Burberry Kisses
I recently received a sample of one of the new Burberry Kisses. I have the shade Nude Pink and it is the perfect everyday nude for me. It's a lovely pinky nude which is right up my street when it comes to lipsticks. There are 28 shades in the whole collection and every shade looks amazing, more of these are definitely on my wish list.

Monthly Make-Up Round Up

This is a post on the make-up products I've been loving through the month of January. In January I tried out a few new things so I thought I'd share my favourite products.

I have recently finally mastered wing eyeliner and this lead me to purchase this eyeliner, I have heard so many good things about this eyeliner and I have got to say it have lived up to it's expectations. It lasts all day and doesn't smudge (which I find most eyeliners do). It is affordable as well as it is only £6.00. I have been using this every day and will probably repurchase it when it runs out!

Nars Virtual Domination Palette
I think I used this palette nearly everyday in January how can I not? It's just so pretty! I have mostly been using the Laguna bronzer, Deep Throat blush and Miss Liberty highlighter. They have all made there way into my daily make-up routine. I am so glad I purchased this palette as all the shades are so wearable.

I got the Dipbrow Pomade in the beginning of January and at first I did have to watch a few tutorials to work out how to get the best result as I didn't want to look like I had drawn slugs on my face... Once I hang of this product I instantly fell in love with it and realised why everyone was raving about it! I have the shade "Blonde" and it is the perfect shade for me, it also stays on all day and doesn't budge.

I have been using my Luxe Highlight Brush from Zoeva along side the Miss Liberty highlight from the Nars palette as it picks up enough product for that highlighted looks and doesn't end up making me look like a disco ball. This brush is really soft and I love using it! I really want to try more brushes from Zoeva.

I love a good nude lipstick so I have been loving this Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in the Boy, it is the perfect glossy nude for everyday wear. I have found myself reaching for this lipstick nearly everyday I think it is becoming my new favourite nude.

Thats it for this post! Let me know what makeup you have been loving this month, I would love to know!

Recent Buys and New Found Loves

You know when you go into boots just to get toothpaste and you end up walking out with a few new makeup products? Well I feel like this happens every time I go into boots!

I recently picked up the Maybelline New York, Instant Anti-Age Concealer. I have heard everyone going on about this concealer for months and feel like I'm the only person who hasn't tried it and I've got to say I love this concealer! It cancels out my dark circles and brightens them. I wasn't sure if I would like the sponge appreciated but it work really well and applies the product evenly and then I use my fingers to pat in the rest of the product.

The next three items I picked up were from Bourjois Paris, there is a bit of a theme of colour with the three items I got and yes as you can see it is a pink/nude theme as always. I picked up a Color Boost in the shade 07 Proudly Naked I love these chubby sticks as they are really long wearing and also really glossy and moisturising. I also picked up one of their Shine Editions Lipsticks in the shade 26 Beige Démocrachic which is an amazing dupe for the Chanel Coco Shine in the shade 57! The last Bourjois product I picked up was a powder blush in the shade 74 Rose Ambré, I have wanted to try a Bourjois blusher for ages but have always forgotten to pick on up and now I finally have one I wish I got one sooner, its really pigmented and lasts really well.

Zoeva Brushes

After hearing loads of good things about Zoeva Brushes, I finally decided to see what the hype was about. I decided on getting the 102 Silk Finish brush and the 105 Luxe Highlighter brush.

The 102 Silk Finish brush is amazing for foundation as you can really buff your foundation into your skin to get that skin like finish. I would recommend this brush if you are a fan of the Real Techniques buffing brush as this leaves a similar finish just that little bit smoother.

The 105 Luxe Highlight brush is amazing for getting that perfect highlighted look. I think you would also be able to use this brush for blusher, setting concealer and even conturing as you can really use it to define the hollows of your cheeks.

Over all I am amazed by the quality of these brushes they are so soft and I enjoy using them when applying my makeup.

I ordered these brushes from Beauty Bay as they are a UK stockist for Zoeva, and they came really quickly which was amazing so I didn't have to wait very long until I had these!

Prices
102 Silk Finish - £11.50
