Current Beauty Favourites

I have had most of these products in my make-up collection for a while now so instead of writing about them individually I thought I would do a post on my current beauty favourites. So I can group these all together and do a mini review on each.

I am going to start with the Loreal Paris True Match Foundation, I have been using this foundation for a few months now and I have got to say it is probably my favourite foundation. I really like the formula of this as it isn't to thick. It gives a medium coverage but you can build it up to a higher coverage. I have it in the colour N1 which is the perfect match for my skin. It is also long wearing I usually just have to touch up around my nose like I normally do with other foundations.

The powder I have been LOVING lately is the 'One Heck Of A Blot' powder from Soap And Glory. I have only had this powder for a few weeks but I am in love with already, I actaully prefer this the the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder *shock horror*. This powder makes my foundation last a lot longer than it normally does, it also does not make me look like I have powder on as it is very fine. This powder is amazing if you get an oily shine through out the day.

I don't really wear that much blusher but I really want to start wearing it more and then a friend suggested that I try this Chanel powder blush in '72 Rose Initial'. It's a really pretty light pink with a little bit of shimmer running through it and I really like this blush, I have worn it everyday since I got it.

I have already done a whole post on the NYX Butter Gloss' but I have really been loving the shade Vanilla Cream Pie, its a really pretty nude pink, which is lovely for spring. As I have said before I love the formula for these are they aren't to sticky but are still really creamy. Here is the link to the post I done about the NYX Butter Glosses. http://all-thinggs-lovely.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/nyx-butter-glosses-worth-hype.html

Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint By Barry M.

Okay yes I admit it... I should of listened to everyone when they said how amazing these nail polishes are! So I was recently in boots doing a little bit of make-up shopping as you do, and I was looking for some new nail polishes to add to my collection. So I went on over to the Barry M stand and picked up three of these Gelly nail polishes, that everyone has been raving about for months! The three shades I picked up are (from right to left) PAPYA, BLUEBERRY & LYCHEE.

The polishes are a bargin at only £3.99 each and I took advantage of boots 3 for 2 offer once again. So it was even better for my bank balance.

At first I was a bit worried that the formula would be on the gloopy side and take ages to dry, but I was pleasantly suprised!

All polishes applied really well and the consistency is just right. I used two coats when applying these. These polishes also dry really quickly which is very handy if you are like me and HATE waiting for your nails to dry!

My nails were chip free for about three days, which I think is pretty long wearing for a drugstore nail polish. Then when I removed the nail polish it came off so easily which is good becasue then you don't have to sit there for ages scrubing your nails!

I am really happy with these nail polishes and I am sure I will be adding a few more of these to my collection!

NYX Butter Glosses: Worth The Hype?

So last week I went to professional beauty at the excel expedition centre and I came across the NYX stand so I just had to try out these butter glosses after hearing so much about them.

I was so happy to finally get my hands on these after hearing so many good things about them and I can confirm... they do not disappoint!

This is what NYX have to say about the butter glosses:
Buttery soft and silky smooth, our scrumptious new Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favourite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky.

In my opinion, these do all of those things beautifully. I love the scent and texture of these glosses they are so different to anything I have in my collection. These glosses are super creamy and smooth, the texture does have a tiny bit of stickyness to it. But I personally love the balance, it allows them to be smooth and lovely to wear, but also keeps them on your lips for longer. I found these glosses really moisturising aswell.

There are 12 shades in this collection and they retail for £5. The majority of these shades are creamy nudes and neutrals, and a couple of more bold shades in there aswell. I only have two shades at the moment 'Vanilla Cream Pie' (the pink shade) and 'Apple Strudel' (the peach shade) but I will defintely be buying some more of these soon, I think I have found a new favourite and now feel the need to buy the whole collection.

Hope you enjoyed this post, I'll see you next week with another post!

REVIEW: The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder

I have never been one of them girls that simply has to have a bronzer in her makeup bag. I have always been more into blush than a bronzer mainly because I could never find a bronzer that was light enough for my skin. Until I heard about this little beauty from the Body Shop.

The packaging is a simple and light brown compact (which was a nightmare to photograph as everything was refelecting off it) inside there is all so a decent sized mirror. Apart from the little honey comb pattern embossed onto it it really does look simple. The compact is also sturdy so good for when you just need to throw it into your makeup bag.
It comes in four shades: Light (the one I have), fair, medium and dark. These are fab if you are pale because you really can't get it looking 'too much' unless you literally pile it on.

The powder is really fine, easy to apply and is all so really easy to blend. As this bronzer is mattee it looks more natural than anything with shimmer in it. That being said when I first opened the bronzer there were a few specs of glitter but once I had sweep my finger across the powder they went.

I sweep it across the high points of my face for a real subtle look of 'tan' or under my cheek bones (get that fish face out) for a more contoured look.
I have only been using this for a couple of week now and it has already become my favourite bronzer.

You can get this bronzer from the body shop for £13 which I think is a really good price this product is so good and once I have hit pan I am sure I will be buying another one.

Benefit POREfessional

So I recently got Benefit POREfessional after seeing everyone hype about it for ages. I can safely say that this product is worth thr hype!

I have used this primer everyday since I got it. I am used to having my makeup slide off my face as I have oily skin but using this primer makes my makeup last all day! My makeup around my nose normally can go a little cakey which is not a look I like to go for but by using POREfessional this has not been happening.

As the name suggests this primer also minimises the look of large pores. The main reason for using a primer is to help even out any inperfections, and create a more even canvas and a good base for applying foundation. Primers are also good for making your makeup last longer and looking freash throughout the day.

The POREfessional comes in a retro looking turquoise tube with a small screw lid.
The primer it's self has a pale beige tinit to it, but when you blend it, it then turn transparant, so it is suitable for all skin types. It leaves the skin feeling silky soft but with a matte finish.

I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a long wearing primer. I will be repurchasing this in the future, I can see this being one of favourite products for a long time!
